When a DMCA-compliant notice is received, we conduct a prompt review. If the notice contains all required information and meets the standards set forth under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c), we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We also inform the user who posted the content, providing them with instructions for filing a counter-notification if they believe the takedown was improper.

As mandated by the DMCA, we may provide a full copy of your takedown notice to the affected user, including your name and contact information. This ensures due process and gives the user a fair opportunity to respond legally, if necessary.

Elements of a Valid Takedown Notice

If you believe content hosted on our site violates your copyright, please include the following six elements in your written DMCA notice:

• A clear description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If several works are involved, a list may be provided.
• Identification of the allegedly infringing material, including its specific location on our website (e.g., direct URL or file path).
• Your full contact information, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A declaration of your good faith belief that the use of the content is unauthorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, affirming that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
• Your physical or electronic signature, validating the authenticity of your claim.

Once a takedown notice is verified, the content will be removed or blocked. We notify the uploader and give them the option to respond by submitting a counter-notification as allowed under the DMCA.

Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you have the right to submit a counter-notification containing the following:

• Identification of the removed material and the specific location where it appeared prior to takedown.
• Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification.
• A declaration that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your district (or any appropriate jurisdiction if you live outside the U.S.).
• A statement agreeing to accept service of process from the original complainant or their legal representative.
• Your electronic or physical signature.

We will forward your counter-notice to the original claimant. If we do not receive notice of a legal action from them within 10 to 14 business days, we may reinstate the removed content at our discretion.

Misuse and Legal Responsibility

Knowingly submitting false information in a takedown notice or counter-notification is a violation of Section 512(f) of the DMCA and may result in civil liability, including damages and legal fees. All participants are expected to act in good faith and only submit claims or responses when they believe them to be accurate and lawful.

Before filing a notice or counter-notice, it is advisable to consult a qualified intellectual property attorney to better understand your rights. Misunderstanding copyright law, fair use exceptions, or license permissions may result in unintended legal consequences.
